Okay, so I've been playing around with "new" things of late... New haircut, new attitude, new ideas, new toys...
I decided to try to take a picture of myself - for whatever reason. Probably because I'm always behind the camera, and there aren't all that many pictures of me around (no, I'm not sad about that) I'm trying to write a "book about me" this year for my kids, so they can know a little bit more about me than "I'm the mom". Maybe I thought a picture wouldn't be a bad start.
Now, I consider myself a relatively proficient - albeit not professional or overly creative - photographer, but this is a whole different ball o' wax, this is! Today's little experiment was laughable, to say the least. I thought I would try to take pictures of myself in the bathroom mirror (yeah, great idea!), and this is what I ended up with:
How about, I just play "spy" with the camera instead? Or just take a good picture of the camera itself?
Maybe if I get a line on where I'll be, and then move into that spot... I'll have to remember to turn my eyes before I click the shutter, though... Maybe if I concentrate really hard...
Okay, I'm done...
I guess I'll have to recruit my husband or someone else to take a pic for me, but hey - at least I tried!
Sue, you are a hoot!! Seriously though, I have also tried this and let me tell you, trying to take your own picture is just not easy ;). I have never liked a single one I have taken. I have actually started to recruit my 8 yr old (our little shutterbug) to help me out once I have wasted entirely too much time failing on my own. Maybe I can send him up your way for a day ;). Love that you posted these. BTW, you look great! Love the "new you".
