...that the only snow in my current awareness is on this card:
Yup! Spring finally decided to show up, and all of the mountains of snow in my yard are GONE! Can I get a "WHOO HOO!!!"?
The card is for the current Jingle Belles challenge. The Belles are celebrating Earth Day, and we're supposed to recycle/upcycle something for our cards. I've been saving used dryer sheets so that I could try out the dryer sheet technique, so this was the perfect opportunity.
Last fall I attended a CNY Stampers gathering, and Pam Nutting made a fabulous shoebox project. I decided that I needed the stamp that she used, so I bought it before Christmas. It was perfect for this technique, so I just CASEd her gorgeous card. She had glitter on the roofs of the houses on hers, but I glittered the whole oval panel, using the dryer sheet technique. I also added a bit of color in the mats and used Liquid Pearls intead of gems.
I probably won't be back for a day or two (or more), so HAPPY EASTER!
Stamps: Stampendous Snowy Postcard; Ink: Stampin'Up! Basic Gray; Paper: Georgia Pacific white, Stampin'Up! Always Artichoke; Accessories/tools: Dryer sheet, prisma glitter, Bic and Spectrum Noir markers, Liquid Pearls, baker's twine
TOTALLY seconding your relief at only having snow on CARDS now!!! i'd vote for that year round, actually, but here in the northeast it ain't gonna happen, lol! this is a mind-blowingly lovely card, however, and is making EVEN ME want to learn that cool technique, not that i'd wind up with anything nearly as cool. always psyched to see your link at JINGLE BELLES, missus! ♥♥♥
